OK,
so you are up for watching a Turkish Super League game like me. Though
there are several football teams in Istanbul, here is a real basic
guide to watching the yellow and navy. In a different country, simple
things like buying tickets and getting to the stadium can be challenging
and fun!
In majority of the world, football refers to something other than helmets,
yellow flags, and Tight End, as my co-worker likes to call it.
Soccer, or football, was never a big part of my sports fanaticism until
the winter of 2005, when I saw a game live in Istanbul, Turkey. The team
I saw was called Fenerbahçe, and I instantly fell in love with
the yellow and navy, the fans, and the atmosphere of the stadium.
Indeed, Turkish football fans are great to hang around. Here is hoping
that more people will take advantage of watching football games when visiting
Turkey!
