Since I first landed in Minnesota in 1980, I have
followed Purple and Gold with passion. With Tommy Kramer at the helm,
they played some excellent (and volitile) games every Sunday that had
people in Minnesota jumping up and down.
I have lost count a long time ago as to how many
Viking games I have attended. My first live game experience was back in
1984 at the Colosseum against the L.A. Raiders, in which they lost 20-23.
That was a bad season for the Vikings, who had won three and lost 13.
Coming out of that woeful 3-13 season, the Vikings
scored a major upset against the defending Super Bowl Champion 49ers,
28-21, at the start of the 1985 season -- making my first Metrodome experience
unforgetable. Since then, I have been to 8 stadiums, including all the
stadiums of the NFC North foes.
vs.
Indianapolis Colts @ RCA Dome, 11/9/04 MIN 28 - INDIANAPOLIS 31.
Yet another last-minute FG that sent Tim and me home griping and
Michelle smiling (so happy she walking barefoot.)
